About IndigiHealth
Indigenous Friends Association (IFA) is an Indigenous charity that builds and supports technology by/with/for Indigenous peoples through community engagement and participation. In the last three years, IFA has focused on the creation and development of the Indigenous Friends Platform, known as IndigiFriends, and the construction of the pedagogies to teach technology in Indigenous contexts. Additionally, IFA has built the IndigiHealth platform, while also helping other organizations build and maintain their digital platforms.
The IndigiHealth platform is a one-stop shop for all resources related to mental, physical, spiritual and emotional wellbeing. The platform encompasses reliable resources curated by, with, and for Indigenous communities in Canada. Users can access resources using various categories or use the in-app map to find resources that are closest to them.
IndigiFriends is a social networking tool aimed at connecting and supporting post-secondary Indigenous students on their educational journey to success. It is a collaborative social networking app for Indigenous youth that provides a space that connects Indigenous students with peer support and offers internal and external resources that are available in the educational setting and surrounding areas. For those using the IndigiHealth platform, the IndigiFriends app might be a great resource to help connect with community.
